The Intern’s New Shorts

Mimes On Set

Hello, my name is Kelsie. For those of you who don’t know me, I recently started an internship at a cool place called Creative Network Studios…you may have heard of it. Seriously though, it’s crazy how much you can do there when it comes to filmmaking. I’m no film-whiz but with some CNS magic, every project becomes a little less daunting and a whole lot of fun.

On one of my first days, I came in and casually mentioned a contest for 30-second shorts without dialogue and, without hesitation, Nathan said, “let’s do it!” We immediately began work on some ideas. Soon we had several scripts and it wasn’t long before we had another intern, Ariana (who loves being behind the camera directing & editing), film them using the CNS studio-space.

This project quickly evolved into something more than just an assignment for an intern or two. That’s the way it is at CNS. They love what they do and nothing—not even shorts— is done without giving 150%. With the help of the folks at Creative Network, we put together some videos that we could be proud of.

In case you were wondering- in the end we missed the deadline for the contest because we were just working too hard (not to mention the fact that they closed the submissions a day early). Still, they are shorts I am excited to share. I invite you all to enjoy what even the interns are capable of and encouraged to produce with the help of a little CNS creative genius.

Here’s the first video, “Mime Melee”—stay tuned for other releases later this week.
