Neon Graveyard is a 30-minute program that explores the side-show lives and after-midnight hangouts of the Las Vegas not found on any Rand McNally roadmaps. Guiding the viewers through the underbelly of this desert sandbox are a husband and wife who eat fire, tame cockroaches and rescue pythons, lizards and other homeless scaly reptiles. Maria, better known to the enthusiasts of off-color freakish interests as SnakeBabe, and her husband Steve, whose long blond braid doubles as a knee length cape, personally know the nonconformists in the field of entertainment.
Steve and Maria don’t just introduce us to the tattooed and unusual; they take our cameras into the vaults of these punctured lives. The night provides a blanket of security that allows these interesting individuals to step out of their shadowed confines and mingle among others who share in their daytime buried existence. Getting to know these unknowns better is why Steve and Maria venture into their world, half-covered by the dimly lit awareness of who. . . what . . . they really are.
